D.C. Fairhurst is an award-winning filmmaker from Sydney, Australia. He started directing at eight-years-old, shooting spy "thrillers" and sci-fi “epics” in his backyard. Since then, the quality of the films has improved (debatably) but the reckless enthusiasm has stayed about the same.
His debut feature film 'Reaching Distance' premiered at CinefestOz in 2018 before a nationwide theatrical release. With FilmInk describing it as "a smart, inventive slice of local genre filmmaking".
Cutting his teeth in the advertising industry, D.C. has directed and edited content for Microsoft, Optus, LinkedIn and Google. His short films have won numerous awards and screened at festivals and genre events worldwide - Including a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. His most recent project, the horror short 'White Void' was a viral hit, amassing 50,000 views in less than a month.
